I wrote this theme because I enjoy the music of U2.  I'm amazed at how music can influence life and how it can enhance one's memory by bringing images and feelings back from the past. Some of the music of U2 is deep and causes me to be introspective. It's not necessarily important to me why a particular song was written or what it's about or what it means because I tend to internalize it and make it mean whatever I want.  For me, U2's music is ideal for this.  Don't get me wrong, I'm not a new-ager or anything.  

Anyway, I wanted to create a theme that pulled together some images and thoughts that have particular meaning or interest to me.  If you are a U2 fan, perhaps you'll enjoy what I've done.  I hope you do.  If not, I don't feel bad because music probably means different things to you; it probably conjures up different images and memories.

Legal note:  I don't know if I've violated any copyrights or anything but I created this theme and images for my own personal enjoyment.  I offer it for free to anyone who shares an interest in U2.  I do not intend to sell or make any kind of profit through it's distribution.  I don't have any money and almost no assets so it doesn't do any good to sue me anyway.

How to install the theme:  Unzip the file in it's entirety to your theme directory in a subdirectory called "U2".  On my hard drive it's c:\Program Files\Plus!\Themes\U2.  Move the Zoosave.scr to your Windows\System directory.  Note: Zoosave runs way fast on my machine, a Pentium 90.  I've included the Zoosave.wri file for your tweaking pleasure. Also, I included another variation of background that includes various album covers (U2 theme background.jpg). Edit the theme if you want to change the background.

If you want to make adjustments in the theme, just open the U2 (high color).theme file using Notepad and make adjustments as necessary.

To uninstall, just delete the files in the Themes\U2 directory.

U2 My Computer.ico: this is an icon of the Zooropa album cover.
U2 Network Neighborhood.ico: sorry, can't remember what this is (icons sure are small)
U2 Recycle Full.ico: A repro of the Zoo car, emtpy
U2 Recycle Empty.ico: A repro of the Zoo car, full
Arrows: all the arrow cursors are standard
U2 wait.ani: horse running - goes well with Wild Horses
U2 busy.ani: fuzzy screened TV - goes well with Zoo TV
U2 Theme Wallpaper.jpg: Mostly images from Joshua Tree, but also a list of U2 albums (I might have missed a few).  Also, some modified mountain images because one of my favorite U2 songs is The Unforgettable Fire, from the album by the same name.

U2 program error.wav: Bono saying "okay Edge, play the blues" I believe is from "Bullet the Blue Sky" on Joshua Tree.
